To effect agricultural transformation to improve productivity in strategic areas of the agricultural landscape, the Government of Ghana has signed a $ 547 million compact agreement with the Government of United States of America. This investment comes with high stakes due to the phenomenal quantum directed at a single subsector and huge poverty reduction impact expectations. The paper provides a brief analysis of issues likely to affect the success or otherwise of the policy, and suggests recommendations for Parliament's oversight in this regards. |
