Akosombo Review MeetingThe Poverty Reduction Committee has ended its review of the 2006 Annual Progress Report (APR) of the GPRSII which was laid in parliament on the 6th of November 2007.

A weekend workshop organized as part of the CIDA- funded Ghana Parliamentary Committee Support Project brought together officials from the NDPC, and experts from the Parliamentary Centre, the Growth and Poverty Forum, CDD, IEA and CEPA to present their analysis of the APR findings to the members of the committee.

The 2006 APR report which is the first on the GPRSII is also the fifth since the inception of the progress report on the poverty reduction strategy in 2002. It also coincides with the GLSS5 which provided detailed data on poverty trends in the country.
