Most Parliamentary Committees in the Ghana Parliament do not
have a fixed schedule for meeting. Meeting dates are set when
matters are referred to the committees by the House during Parliamentary Sessions.

The work load also varies. The Finance Committee for example meets several times during each session and some times during recess because of the large volume of work that is referred to the committee. The Public Accounts Committee also meets several times to look at audited accounts sometimes these meetings are held when Parliament is on recess.
