Mandate/Role of the Committee PDF Print E-mail
The committee derives its mandate from standing order no 152(f) and standing order No 181 of the Parliament of Ghana. The committee examines matters relating to local government and rural development issues. The committee investigates and enquires into activities and administration of all ministers, departments, organizations and corporations whose work relate to local government and rural development in Ghana (standing order 190) of the parliament of Ghana.

Additionally the committee considers issues referred to it by the speaker including proposals for legislation.

The committee reports to the house on all matters referred to it.
