Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is a twenty-five(25) member standing committee of the Parliament of Ghana. Bills, inquiries and other matters related to finance and the economy generally are referred to the Committee on Finance.

The functions of the committee therefore include examination of bills, examination of loans, monitoring foreign exchange receipts and payment of transfers of the Bank of Ghana,  examination of tax waiver and imposition of taxes, examination of annual financial statement that relates to revenue, expedition, estimates, government financial bill and authorizes advances in accordance with article 177 of the 1992 constitution. more ...

 Clerk to the Committee
The Finance committee has a principal assistant clerk, appointed from the office of the clerk of parliament who assists the committee in playing its role.

Secretariat
The Head of the secretariat of finance committee is the clerk to the committee assisted by a secretary and a number of officers.
