FORGING Partnerships And External Linkages

Strong working partnerships with non-parliamentary institutions in Ghana have emerged over the years, contributing to Parliament's transparency, accountability and participation.

These will be pursued and widened beyond the following listof current partners:

  • ABANTU for Development
  • CEPA (Centre for Economic Policy Analysis)
  • GIMPA (Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration)
  • IDEG (Institute for Democratic Governance)
  • IPA (Institute for Policy Alternatives)
  • ISODEC (Integrated Social Development Centre)
  • ISSER (Institute for Statistical, Social and Economic Research)
  • SEND Foundation
  • Former MPs
  • Multiple CSOs

and other development partners (donors and NGOs).

Opportunities will also be provided to the Committees to expand ongoing international and regional linkages with Parliamentary Committees abroad, which in the past have proved very valuable in providing new insights that have in turn been transferred to other committee members. Activities include video conferences, international study visits, as well as regional trips to maintain and build links with other oversight committees in Africa.
