With the inauguration of the 5th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana and the composition of new standing and select committees, the Financial Scrutiny Project of Parliamentary Centre funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Good Financial Governance program of the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) after consulting with the leadership of the new Public Accounts Committee (PAC) embarked on an orientation workshop for members of the PAC and the leadership of the Committee on Employment, Social Welfare and State Enterprises.
6th Post Budget Workshop held for Ghana Parliament from 6-8 March, 2009 at GIMPA
Under the auspices of the Ghana Parliamentary Committee Support Project phase two, the leadership of Parliament with Chairs and Ranking Members of twenty-one committees participated in this year’s post-budget workshop, held at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, from 6-8, March 2009. This annual activity is the sixth in a series of annual pre and post budget workshops that have contributed to consensus building in parliament on key policy proposals and fostered more informed debate on the annual budget.
